About Marc
Marc Odien is an award winning photojournalist with over fifteen years of news experience in radio, television and web based multimedia. Prior to starting WNYmedia.net, Marc worked for various television news stations, including WGRZ -TV in Buffalo.
During his time at Channel 2, Marc was a producer/photographer in the station’s Enterprise Unit (the “red coats”), and was instrumental in their coverage of the 2004 Erie County budget crisis, which won a NYS AP award for “Best News Series”.
Marc is also an accomplished independent filmmaker and has recently completed three Documentaries about WNY issues; Flipped, Bass Pro’s & Con’s, and La Terra Promessa.
WNYMedia.net has been online since 2004 and has grown into one of the most visited citizen journalism websites in the country.
